2015 NFL Draft Final quick-snap grades for AFC South teams
With all 256 picks of the 2015 in the books, CFB 24/7 breaks down how all 32 teams fared from Rounds 1-7. Houston TexansDraft pick: CB (No. 16 overall),
Matt Gay Jersey LB (No. 43 overall), WR (No. 70 overall), WR (No. 175 overall), LB (No. 211 overall), DT (No. 216 overall), RB (No. 235 overall)Day 1 grade: BDay 2 grade: B+Day 3 grade:DOverall grade:C-The skinny: Johnson might be the most well-rounded cornerback prospect in the draft and certainly will boost a defense that has to contend with several potent offensive weapons in the division. McKinney will be a solid fit in the middle of the team's defense and can really help shut down opposing run games, but he has i sues in coverage, and the might have given up too much -- a fourth- and sixth-round pick -- in order to move up for a questionable player. At least they wound up getting a steal in Strong, who will be a perfect replacement. If healthy, Covington could wind up being a tremendous value in the sixth round as a rotation player who can make flash plays.Bottom line:Johnson can start early on, and landing Strong was a steal. Beyond that? Not great. Indianapolis ColtsDraft pick: WR (No. 29 overall), CB (No. 65 overall), DT (No. 93 overall), S (No. 109 overall), DT (No. 151 overall), RB (No. 205 overall), LB (No. 207 overall), OL (No. 255 overall)Day 1 grade: B-Day 2
Eric Dickerson Jersey grade: ADay 3 grade:BOverall grade: BThe skinny: The added another speedy wideout to what was already one of the deepest receiving corps in the league. While will no doubt be happy, the team could have addre sed another position such as offensive line or upgraded its defense. There are some questions about Dorsett's ability, but this team will have offensive weapons for days. Smith fills a need on defense and was a favorite of many scouts. Anderson is a filthy steal late in the third round and should be a super disruptive player on the defensive line.Bottom line:The really helped close the gap with the with this cla s. Defensive needs were addre sed, and landing Anderson was a coup, but some of the picks were questionable. Jacksonville JaguarsDraft pick:LB/DE (No. 3 overall), RB (No. 36 overall), OL (No. 67 overall), S (No. 104 overall), WR (No. 139 overall), DT (No.180 overall),
Marshall Faulk Jersey WR (No. 220 overall), TE (No. 229 overall)Day 1 grade:ADay 2 grade:B-Day 3 grade:AOverall grade:A+The skinny: Team need? Check. Great player? Check. With the No. 3 overall pick, the got a prolific edge rusher who can boost their defense and help chase down division rival for years to come. You could argue the Jags should have taken or that a trade down would have been a better move, but Fowler can have an impact early on for a team in need of playmakers. Taking Yeldon with the No. 36 pick was a bit of a reach, but he was a fast-rising prospect and is a complete back who is a great fit for a young Jacksonville offense. Cann should immediately fill a need protecting Bortles and opening holes for Yeldon on the interior of the line.Bottom line:The young offensive core in Jacksonville got even better in this draft with a mix of good value picks and quality players on and off the field. Tenne see TitansDraft pick: QB (No. 2 overall), WR (No. 40 overall), OL (No. 66 overall), DT (No. 100 overall), FB (No. 108 overall), RB (No. 138 overall), LB (No. 177 overall), C (No. 208 overall), WR (No. 245 overall)Day 1 grade:B+Day 2 grade: ADay 3 grade:BOverall
Kareem Orr Jersey grade: A-The skinny: The had a need at quarterback, and Mariota is one of the best prospects
Jerome Bettis Jersey to come along in a while. That said, he isn't a great fit for Ken Whisenhunt's offense, and the team will need time to bring him along. The sky is the limit for Mariota, and Tenne see landed a good player, but one of the many rumored trades for the No. 2 pick, including one with the , might have been a better move. On Day 2, the smartly moved back, picking up an extra fourth-rounder in a deep draft, and still selected a potential No. 1 wideout for Mariota in Green-Beckham. DGB is a character risk, but he was worth taking a chance on in the second round. Poutasi can play guard or right tackle and is a people mover. Cobb has a chance to be the workhorse back early in his career.Bottom line:The team landed its franchise quarterback of the future and got him some weapons and blockers. You can follow Bryan Fischer on Twitter at .
